Household rain water harvesting
Author: Akvedukts
Latvia is located in the moderate climate zone, where there is a large amount of rainfall and relatively little sun. Unfortunately, we can't count on the sun to evaporate the nursing or snowy houses. Therefore, each house must be equipped with a rain-water drainage system that drains the water to the nearest drainage or ditch. Otherwise, water can flush the ground below the home's bases and damage the structure of the basics. Similarly, water can accumulate in the courtyard, clearing the lawn and damaging the driveway.
The most important elements of the rain water management system are canals, grille, lawn and gravel, as well as shears. Private house owners can pack these solutions by adapting them to the specificities of their home and installing them when the house is finished. ACO Nordic rain management systems guarantee protection against yard and home basement flooding and long life. All components of the system are easily transportable and easy to install, and they are manufactured from materials that ensure resistance to UV rays and low air temperatures in winter.
The channels for collecting rain water are most frequently set up at the entrance to the courtyard or garage. If the road level is higher than the backyard level or if the passage level is higher than the garage floor, the preferred solution is to set up channels. They'll pick up excess water and not let it go into the courtyard or garage. The channels are made of durable plastic or polymerstone.
Gully is an excellent solution for collecting and draining rain water in small areas. They shall be installed in places where the water is most frequently accumulated, under gutters, at gates, as well as in drains below water supply points in the garden and yard. Spaces may be fitted with different volumes of debris tanks, siphons and elements of different heights. Rain water is removed from harvests and canals to a moat or a central sewage system. From the Self-contained range are available plates made of polymerstone with galvanized and cast iron grille. The galvanized harvests belong to the load class A15, which is suitable for the places where pedestrians and cyclists are travelling. On the other hand, in places fitted with cast iron grille (B125), the passenger car may also be switched over. Polyperbetone harvests are more mitrurised because they contain epoxy resins with a mix of four sands fractions. They are easily folded and removable. The volume of their debris bucket is 1.4 l. Such abstracts are capable of draining water 4 l/s. The profit output can be connected to outdoor orange tubes of dimensions DN100.
In order to protect the lawn or the driveway from being trampled and travelled, it is recommended that lawn or gravel grille be installed in places where you are regularly travelling by car or walking on foot. A variety of design solutions are available for lawn grille, which will allow them to incorporate aesthetically into your backyard. The lawn grille is made of recyclable polyolefin. The manufacturer'S ACO lawn grille size shall be up to 250 t/m2. 4.42 pcs is required to create a 1 m2 lawn grille. For the grass to grow well, the optimum grid cell height is 38 mm. Unfortunately, Latvian summers are getting hotter and drier, so we recommend that the grass be watered and replanted where it has burned.
The pebble grille is made of polypropylene and designed to accommodate handsome and durable driveways and trails. The maximum gradient that can be made with this grid is 10%. When reaching the 5% slope limit, additional anchorages with soil nails should be fitted. Under the pebbles grid, a geo-text is embedded, so there is no grass growing through it, no rain being washed away, and it will protect you from passing through the rice. A well-fitted pebble grille may also be travelled by a light car. The grille is available in several shades - white, black, gray. Optimal fraction 8/16 mm in ACO splinter cells. A grid of 5.6 pieces is required to cover a plateau of 10 m2. In order to be able to ride the pebble grille, the base must be prepared correctly.
The closing element in the rain management system is the building legs. It is often a reminder of the need for it when the house is already actively populated and with footwear brings moisture, mud, sand and other debris into the house. Therefore, we recommend that you choose the built-in legs that incorporate holes. It accumulates the debris and drains water. The surface of such a leg is always infinitely cleaner and drier than if a simple front-door rug was used. The built-in leg is on the floor level, its opening is easy to clean and can be easily built into its own forces.
